Sniper Training and Employment by Department of the Army

TC 23-14, Sniper Training and Employment (June 1989), is a U.S. Army training circular that explains how snipers are selected, trained, equipped, and used in combat. It was meant to help commanders, trainers, and soldiers understand the sniper’s role as a two-person team that delivers precise long-range fire, gathers battlefield information, and supports infantry operations with minimal exposure to the enemy.
